Politics, change and economic development: it’s all local | Columns
“All politics is local,” is a statement made famous by longtime former US House Speaker Tip O’Neill. Likewise, I have heard many people say, “All change starts at the local level. Guess what? Economic development is also local.
It is sometimes difficult for the public to understand what economic development is. It’s true that sometimes I think so too! One reason is that Economic Development is constantly changing and growing to meet our changing needs as an Adams County community. Also, economic development is not “one size fits all”, so it may be different in different communities at these unique local levels.
