Poster Design | Taj Mahal 2010
Grammy-winner Taj Mahal is touring the Hawaiian Islands again in 2010.
Ron has been given the opportunity to head up the print promotional effort. This is the second time Ron has had the opportunity to design posters for Taj Mahal’s Hawaiian Tour shows, the first time being the 2008 Hawaiian Tour.
This particular piece makes its biggest change in the color palette. Instead of the warm gold and red from the 2008 poster, the 2010 design features varying shades of a bright blue. Gone are the angled photos, as the new layout features the band and musicians up front and straight. This new design gives a sense of being bright, straightforward, and cool; which works to significantly contrast it with the old design without too many major changes.
