Summer Grove Fine Foods Logo Design

To convey the high-end nature of the distributor. The Summer Grove logo was created by Ron Bercume for a fine foods distributor based in the U.K. that serves northern Europe. The logo uses a combination of a serifed typeface with a script treatment, iconic illustration to represent the nature of the product, and a soft red and blue color palette.

Miggs Burroughs and Paul Rand

I recently came across this rare 3 part interview with Graphic Designer Pioneer Paul Rand. I have written on the “Godfather of Graphic Design” here on this site and like any designer consider him one of my many heroes. The ICA’s main objective of the Congress was to promote colored gemstones in the Chinese market, which will help promote international trade. The “Homeless” sign – simple, bold, Helvetica

Some say “Homeless.” and others say “Please help.” All are printed on white paper in Helvetica, a blocky font so distinct that a feature-length documentary was made in its honor. If you spend much time downtown, you’ve probably noticed the signs. They’re difficult to miss — arresting in their simplicity, crisp enough to be counterintuitive in the hands of panhandlers.
