Ron and Jim… and Sven

In Ron’s biography I describe the band Jim as “a versatile, dexterous and drunken Adirondack band that developed a strong local following over a fitful decade of existence.” Being called upon for his professional expertise by his old role model was meaningful personal event for Ron – and it helped get him back on the road to feeling cool, smart, artistic and responsible.

Do as I Do: Bill Cosby

In Tim’s interview Cosby gets into it with little prodding, cycling back often to his most important messages. “Get the education,” he solemnly advises. “Stop throwing it away. Fathers: Come claim your children so that they don’t feel abandoned, so that there can be some happiness. The home is where we’re pointing and saying, ‘We’re got to tighten this up.’” Rather than revisit Cosby’s beef with “the rap music,”

Obey Your Designer #OBYD

Ron wanted to create a biography to achieve a broad range of goals, including: to publicly acknowledge and thank the teachers who were instrumental to his success; to inspire young people from similarly challenging backgrounds; to further his philanthropic aims by using the proceeds from this book to establish a scholarship at his Alma mater; to develop a book-publishing network…

Poster Design | Gregg Allman & Friends

Ron Bercume was asked to create event posters, newspaper ads and radio commercials for Greg Allman & Friends’ 2007 Hawaii tour. Allman is a founding member of one rock’s great bands, the Allman Brothers, and is also considered one of rock’s greatest singers. Ron listened to more than his fair share of classic rock during his tie-died summer of love in Lake Placid…

Spammers Will Be Punished

Email has become a very essential mean for conducting business online the past years. But you always need to make sure that the settings are all against Spam acts. Since being accused of any Spam actions will have negative consequences on your business that could potentially cause your business to be shut down.

Print & Logo Design | Ten Ton Hammer

This logo is audience-centric and subjective – viewers’ responses to it vary depending on their perspectives and on how close they look. Ron is particularly proud of the way it plays on typographic elements which come together for what could be interpreted as a acronym, among other things. The design utilizes a organic approach that is rustic and old-school.

Corporate ID | State of New Hampshire

Among all of Ron’s work for companies, musicians and individual entrepreneurs, he’s also been awarded several prestigious projects by state agencies. In 2009, Ron was awarded a contract with the state for a public relations campaign to advertise New Hampshire as an attractive recreational and residential location as well as to promote the benefits of working for the state.

Poster Design | Taj Mahal

Ron continues to be amazed that he has had the pleasure of working with an artist who has nine Grammy nominations and two awards. Ron was able to design promotional media for a blues legend who has shaped the musical landscape of the last millennium. In 2008 the promotional management of Taj Mahal and His Hula Blues Band enlisted the creative services of Ron Bercume…

Poster Design | Twiddle

In addition to the Waterhole, Ron has done design work for dozens of other satisfied clients in the Lake Placid area. Ron was friends with many of his clients before they hired him, and he has made a practice of building lasting relationships with clients who were once complete strangers to him. As a kid, Ron saw some great shows at the Waterhole (including the Jim/Mojo Nixon gig)…
